      <description>&lt;p&gt;In just 4 years, Detroit Tigers General Manager &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Dombrowski"&gt;Dave Dombrowski&lt;/a&gt; turned one of the worst franchises in professional sports into one of the best. I thought this portion of a recent &lt;a href="http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071209/COL22/712090657/1050/SPORTS02"&gt;Detroit Free Press column&lt;/a&gt; really summed up why:&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;blockquote&gt;
		&lt;p&gt;Early in Dave Dombrowski&amp;#8217;s tenure as Tigers general manager, I asked him about the importance of having a clear plan, which I thought was lacking under the Randy Smith regime. His response was telling&amp;#8212;more telling than I realized then. He shifted the conversation away from the word &amp;#8220;plan.&amp;#8221;&lt;/p&gt;

		&lt;p&gt;&amp;#8220;It comes down to making good decisions,&amp;#8221; he said.&lt;/p&gt;
